The call for volunteer civil servants leads to the hiring of Springfield’s most dynamic public schoolteacher in years…Abraham Simpson! And it doesn’t take long before he catches the eye of other highly placed, civic-minded leaders who set the Simpsons septuagenarian on a road to seeking even higher public office.
