SpongeBob and Patrick are lost in the Kelp Forest, and it's up to Mr. Krabs and Squidward to find them! But what wild fate has befallen Bikini Bottom's best buddies? Find out in "SpongeMonkey!" In "Friend Fair," Patrick and SpongeBob enter a contest to test just how much (or little) each knows about the other. Plus a lobster fact page by Maris Wicks (Bravest Warriors), "SpongeFunnies" by James Kochalka (American Elf), and a stunning pinup by pulp-master Gary Gianni (featuring a certain JungleBob Loincloth!). Don't forget that this Saturday, May 4th, is Free Comic Book Day! Be sure to get out to your local comic book store and load up on all the fun freebies! Here's what we've got for you:

2013 Bongo Comics Free-For-All!

Bongo rings in another Free Comic Book Day with a comical cornucopia of four-color comics and games. First, Bart becomes a model citizen for a day…with disastrous results. Then, Jimbo and the gang escalate and elevate their juvenile delinquency to new heights. Stick around for a bedtime tale with the dim but adorable Li’l Homer and go in search of the Happy Little Elves with Maggie.

2013 SpongeBob Freestyle Funnies

United Plankton brings you a completely original collection of SpongeBob comics for FCBD 2013. In "Paint Misbehavin'" Squidward teaches SpongeBob and Patrick how to paint realistically--but how did they learn to bring their painted creations to life? Then in "Day of the Free Comic" SpongeBob must foil Plankton's latest plan: invading the Krusty Krab inside a...giveaway comic book! Will funny books ever be the same? And: Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy take on a new villain: the sultry Catfishstress. All this plus facts about the colorful cuttlefish, a fill-in comic, and a preview of this summer's SpongeBob superhero-themed annual!

Stand back in wonder as the brashest and boldest boy in Springfield makes the big time! First, Bart gets the big idea that he’ll be rolling in the dough by going green. Then Nelson stands trial and the only thing that prevents him from going to jail is Bart’s big mouth. After a field trip adventure under the circus big top and a scheme to get on the big screen, Bart plays big brother to Lisa and Maggie only to find himself in big trouble! Finally, Bart and Milhouse make a big racket while building a rocket and become a big threat to national security! This monumental collection of big-headed and big-hearted tales may be the biggest Bart Simpson book yet! And that’s a big deal!

When a crimewave plagues the shopkeepers of Springfield, three men vow to stop ne’er-do-wells in their good-for-nothing tracks. Three mere mortals will stare villainy in the eye and dare it to blink. Three vigilantes, who comprise…the Merchants of Vengeance. Be there as an alliance is formed, a bond is forged, and (as usually happens to such bonds and aforementioned alliances) a confidence is betrayed! Then, witness the cream-filled fury of Pieman (actually Homer Simpson) when an evil doppelganger seeks to tarnish his indignant and indulgent identity. And Bart and Lisa prove that a little imagination is a dangerous thing when they go on a sensational rampage through the streets of Springfield.
